I
try and
  reach the
shore, only to be
swept again into sea
full of life and joy. But,
all I care for is a shore
where I can be just one
striped engina, nothing,
but, a striped enigma.
I float, I push hard
against the waves,
wanting to reach
the shore, for,
I am tired
of being
 pushed,
 pulled,
tried by
the
sea.

*As a part of NaPoWriMo. #19

*The prompt by NaPoWriMo today was: “to take a look at the list of actual sea shell names below, and to use one or more of them to write a poem. Your poem doesn’t have to be about sea shells at all — just inspired by one or more of the names.

Strawberry Top
Incised Moon
Sparse Dove
False Cup-and-Saucer
Leather Donax
Shuttlecock Volva

*Also, do visit my friends who are participating in the challenge. You won’t be disappointed.
